| What is a CCNA?Posted: 22 Feb 2012 Tags: What is a CCNA What CCNA Whenever I recommend CCNA training to any it person, it is inevitably the first question I was wondering. Many people leave college with their CIS degree and do not really know what they want to do. Some lucky ones get in a program of leadership of it at a large company, but others still need direction to determine on which side of the IT business, they want to be on. As I fear those who have an interest in supporting and the function of project can benefit from a support network. However, the question always of what exactly mean that? What does a CCNA when that they are in the Office in the morning? This article will address these issues so that you can get a better impression if the CCNA certification is something that could be of interest to you. The last thing you want is to spend the time and money to become a CCNA and do not enjoy the types of jobs that you will be qualified. There are many paths a CCNA can take, and it is difficult to know which you are interested. For the most part, no matter what you you will be responsible for Cisco equipment at a certain level. This could mean that your job is to solve network problems, security management for a corporate network, large-scale AC work or work on phone systems. The common denominator, it is all the equipment you are working on will be Cisco. My first job as a CCNA was essentially a network administrator position. I already had a lot of experience with Microsoft products, but was hired to manage the network infrastructure and to help with the General support it. It is quite common these days as of such companies only when employees can manage multiple functions. For my employer, they knew I could fill in for almost anyone within and that they would be step skip a beat. Chances are that your first job will be very similar regardless of what CCNA track you are going after. My day had several parties and it is a very busy position. The first thing in the morning, that I spend the first hour through newspapers and if not there is not errors or questions of the day to the next. Considering that I was responsible for over 30 locations, it took time. However, it is rarely errors so it is more than one type of "Check" of process. From there, I would generally e-mail to see if someone has reported no problems with the network the day after. These processes were first as my first responsibility is the network itself. I was not responsible for the security or I would have been as well check firewall logs. Once my main functions have been completed I would turn my attention to projects regardless of the computer Department had passed. I have had a constant queue of projects that need to be completed and they have been fulfilled in a first in the first base. The project would range from the modernization of the line, updated hardware level or projects to make our current systems to run more efficiently. This is a typical day for a CCNA, and most it departments have projects under way so that you will never be bored or have to do anything. No matter what, there is always a problem of correction or a system to improve. This gives a ton of experience quickly and retains your work to the day the day interesting. Of course, there are other types of work ranging from consultation where you can be helping on any number of different types of projects. Or with some large companies, your work can be task-oriented and you are solely responsible for a certain piece of infrastructure. Rate this article:
