The traditional box software leads the extinction?

Hi all

I was sitting here thinking about some trends that are going on in the world of technology and thought come in my mind. And it is the increased adoption of the app stores in technology now in use. From now all the products of Apple with the "App Store" for devices using the Android Market Google's Android. Recently announced that as of the next version of Windows, Microsoft will implement its own app store has been called in the Windows market.

This led this question in my head, is that during a recent visit to Staples, I noticed it is the Islands attending for a third of the store for software is now getting smaller and smaller, and I see this trend all across the industry. And that is why I am asking this question "is a traditional box software to extinction?".

Now, I know you all read it and want to know where my opinion on all of this are and where I am on this, is that the app stores are a victory, victory, win on all sides (except for viruses & malware creators). And my reasoning for this are the following:

1. It greatly simplifies the process software installation all - not to try to discover whether your computer is compatible with a specific programme. The app store is constantly runs a check against all programs on the app store to see if it is running on your device. If it is not compatible, then the specific application will simply display not as an option to install at all.

2. It drastically reduces the chances of having infected with Malware virus & - to the writers of the program be even having a chance to get their applications in a specific application store, all app stores mentioned previously take extensive measures to ensure that the purchase of people in their app store apps are free of everything which could be detrimental to the purchaser devices. If a submitted app is found or potentially malicious, it is immediately removed from the store and if it is installed on a device, the program is also removed from the device.

3 It is recovery and upgrade your device a much less painful ordeal - we all cases where we had to either reinstall everything from scratch on our device for one reason or another or simply upgrade to a plu device, there is always a question back. And the problem is that all the software purchased will not work or are missing on the device. With the purchase of all of your applications from the app store, retrieve these apps are now a point and click operation. Now, what you do, it is that in the case of the Apple App Store, all you do is sign in the app store, only left click the purchased link, and all your applications previously purchased will appear in a list. Single left click on the button install and the app will be installed on your device. In the case of the Android Market, purchased apps will be listed in the section "steps installed." All single tap on each of those and the application will then install to your device. Now you have to worry about backup is your individual documents.

Also, with the trend of going ultra-mobile devices such as tablets and the cell phones and also computer manufacturers of desktop and computer laptop on the market, I really see a day in the near future where we will not see in a more electronic software section of stores. That only sounds very strange to me, but time will make changes.
